On September 4, 2023, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, met with Gerard Quinn,UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of persons with disabilities, who is paying an official visit to Georgia.

National legislation, state policy and measures implemented in the direction of protection of the rights of persons with disabilities in recent years were discussed at the meeting.

The Public Defender informed the guest about the activities of the Office, recommendations prepared to improve the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, and the details of cooperation with the civil sector and international organizations working on the rights of persons with disabilities.
