On June 20-21, 2018, the Deputy Public Defender of Georgia – Ekaterine Skhiladze, attended the International Conference on Equality in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The conference was organized by the Public Defender of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the conference the following issues were discussed: national and international practices of equality, importance of using the human rights protection mechanisms and their challenges.

At the conference the Deputy Public Defender of Georgia moderated the session on importance of implementing the international standards on national level. Within the framework of the session, the speakers made their speeches on importance of implementing the international documents and principals of the human rights protection mechanisms, their challenges and future perspective.
