Public Defender Meets with Ambassador of Great Britain to Georgia

On 22 November 2019, Nino Lomjaria, Public Defender of Georgia, met with Justin McKenzie Smith, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Georgia, and discussed the ongoing developments in the country, electoral law and the failure of the Parliament to adopt the draft law on the introduction of a proportional electoral system. Nino Lomjaria briefed the Ambassador on the priorities and future plans of the Public Defender’s Office.

The meeting was also attended by Deputies of Public Defender, Tamar Gvaramadze, Giorgi Burjanadze and Ekaterine Skhiladze. The parties discussed opportunities and areas of cooperation.
