On January 22, 2020, Madona Basiladze, Head of the Western Georgia Division of the Public Defender's Office, held a meeting with participants of the Ambassadors of the Future, a project of the Information Center on NATO and EU, in the Public Defender's Kutaisi Office.

Madona Basiladze talked about fundamentalhuman rights and freedoms, the story of their development and classification, as well obligations of the State and the mandate of the Public Defender, as a national human rights monitoring institution. Madona Basiladze introduced the activities of the Public Defender's Office to the participants of the meeting and handed out information booklets.

At the end of the meeting, discussion was held about the rights-related challenges and the necessity for holding similar informational meetings. The Western Georgia Division of the Public Defender's Office is ready to hold periodic meetings for the Ambassadors of the Future.
