Project objectives:
To strengthen the Public Defender's office in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region; to raise awareness of the local population on human rights and freedoms.

Project activities:
Within the framework of the project, the Public Defender's representatives held regular field informational meetings in various districts and villages of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, during which the local population were able to address the Public Defender with applications or complaints about human rights violations. For the same purpose, 3 contact persons of the Public Defender were chosen from different regions; in addition, training sessions were conducted for students, civil servants and representatives of regional media.
