Public Defender Presented January Report and Information Bulletin to the Media
At the outset I want to say that sometimes I have a feel¬ing that the Office of Public Defender deals solely with the so called “high public profile” cases. Anyway, this is the way it looks. One of the reasons why we decided to elaborate the periodic Information Bulletin is our effort to correct certain false impressions and change this atti¬tudes through demonstrating to the society that the Pub¬lic Defender’s Office is everywhere and for everyone who needs our assistance.
The Information Bulletin is the result of extensive con¬templation. It could be a case that it will not meet our expectations, however our aim was simple – to clearly ex¬pose our recent work: the advices we provided; meetings we held, the groundwork we performed, whom we crit¬icized or even commended with the intention to ensure feeling of security for everyone before the state which sometimes fails to consider particular individual’s inter¬ests while solving “national objectives”.
The Information Bulletin also enlightens our achieve¬ments, the work that lies ahead as well as latest develop-ments in human rights protection on international level.
