Bulletin, Periodic Edition - November, 2016

The Public Defender of Georgia has presented the November information bulletin, which includes information about important events of the month. The bulletin provides information about the Public Defender’s international meetings, conferences and reports. One of the important events in November was the Public Defender’s report at the World Conference of the International Ombudsman Institute, as well as meetings with representatives of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance, the Human Rights Commissioner's Office and other representatives of the Council of Europe.

The document includes the Public Defender's general proposals developed within the framework of the monitoring of the implementation of the anti-discrimination law, the conference on the relevance of minimum wage policy, public statements on violations of child’s and women's rights, results of the one-year operation of the Public Defender's hotline, the International Day for Tolerance and the award ceremony of tolerance supporters.

The bulletin also offers information about trainings and other activities aimed at raising civic education level, which contribute to the establishment of the high standards of protection of human rights in the country.
