Working Conference on Global Citizenship Education

Gvantsa Davitashvili, Head of the Human Rights Education Department of the Public Defender's Office, attended a working conference on global citizenship education on May 17-18. Within the framework of the conference, education and human rights experts worked on the development of a training course.

The conference was held in partnership with the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Centre of Educationfor International Understanding (APCEIU) and aims to introduce global citizenship education for teachers, school administration and parents in Georgia. In the process of global citizenship education, it is crucial to integrate human rights issues into the training course. Therefore, the Public Defender’s Office will continue cooperation and involvement in the work process.
