Students of Kobuleti Public School No 2 Visit Public Defender's Office

On April 20, 2018, Kobuleti’s Ilia Chavchavadze Public School No 2 visited the Public Defender's Office. Public Defender Nino Lomjaria and Deputy Public Defender Ekaterine Skhiladze talked about human rights, child’s rights, violence, bullying, women's rights, persons with disabilities and equality issues. The students were able to get answers to their questions.

As it became known, there is a student club "This is My Right" at school, where students can get information about human rights and freedoms, international documents, treaties and obligations of the states aimed at protecting human rights.

The Public Defender hopes that the meeting with the students of the Kobuleti public school was interesting.

One of the most important functions and a priority of the Public Defender's Office is to raise the level of civic education in the field of human rights. As part of educational activities, the Public Defender's Office intensively organizes trainings, workshops, informational meetings with various representatives of the society and schoolchildren.
