Meeting of the Consultative Council for Monitoring the Promotion, Protection and Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

On 27 January, 2017, the Public Defender’s Consultative Council for Monitoring the Promotion, Protection and Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities held another meeting, which was attended by the Public Defender, representatives of the Public Defender's Office and invited members of the Council.

The Consultative Council discussed the issues of the agenda: the activities carried out for the monitoring of promotion, protection and implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, information about the rights of persons with disabilities in the Public Defender's parliamentary report 2016 and the views of the Consultative Council members on the monitoring report of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

At the end of the meeting, discussion was held about the issues relating to the monitoring of the implementation of the Convection, including financial support for the monitoring activities and priorities.

The next meeting of the Council will take place within 2 months.
