On September 22, 2025, the Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani, and the First Deputy Public Defender, Tamar Gvaramadze, met with the newly appointed French Ambassador to Georgia, Olivier Courteaud.

Levan Ioseliani introduced the mandate activities, and priorities of the Public Defender's Office to the Ambassador. The parties also discussed the human rights situation in the country and agreed on future cooperation.
