Employees of Public Defender's Office Introduced to Communications Ombudsman’s Activities

On June 3, 2025, Communications Ombudsman Gvantsa Chkheidze visited the Public Defender's Office of Georgia and introduced the employees of the Office to the activities of the Consumer Interest Defender’s Service of the Georgian National Communications Commission.

Gvantsa Chkheidze spoke about the mandate and competence of the service, the mechanism for receiving consumer applications, the method of studying cases, the availability of the consultation service, and the awareness-raising campaign that the Communications Ombudsman conducts, especially with the population of the region.

The Public Defender of Georgia and the Communications Ombudsman have been closely cooperating for years to protect human rights in the country.
