On September 30, 2025, the Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani, held a regular meeting of the Consultative Council for Monitoring the Promotion, Protection and Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities operating under the Public Defender.

In his welcoming speech, the Public Defender presented the updated composition of the advisory body and spoke about the importance of the involvement of the visiting members in the Council activities.

The new members of the Council expressed their readiness for active cooperation with the Public Defender's Office.

The measures implemented within the framework of the monitoring of promotion, protection and implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and future plans were presented and the issues raised by the Council members were discussed at the meeting.

The working meeting of the Consultative Council was facilitated by the Deputy Public Defender, Irine Chikhladze.

The 39^th meeting of the Consultative Council under the Public Defender was held within the framework of the EU-funded project - "Support to the Public Defender's Office of Georgia".
