Council of National Minorities Meet with Mayoral Candidates
On October 19, 2017, representatives of the Council of National Minorities of the Public Defender met with mayoral candidates – independent candidate Aleko Elisashvili, National Movement candidate Zaal Udumashvili and European Georgia candidate Elene Khoshtaria at the National Library.
The mayoral candidates introduced their programs to the Council members and underlined the priorities of national and religious minorities in the programs.
The members of the Council got interested in the mayoral candidates’ views with regard to the protection of cultural heritage monuments, employment of national minorities in the state agencies and protection of the rights of national minorities in case of winning the elections.
The meetings were organized by the Tolerance Center of the Public Defender.
