Nowruz Bayram in Georgia - 2024

"Nowruz-Bayram holiday is another reminder of how important it is to protect and promote the culture of ethnic minorities living in Georgia in order to create an inclusive, tolerant environment where every citizen can feel valued. Recognizing and preserving the culture of ethnic minorities is one of the tools for us, which can connect each member of the society and promote social unity and diversity," Public Defender Levan Ioseliani said at the Nowruz Bayram holiday event in Marneuli.

Most of the eastern nations celebrate the spring equinox - Nowruz Bayram - on March 21. Nowruz has been declared a public holiday in Georgia since 2010 and it is traditionally celebrated with ethnic events.
