On April 12, 2016, Public Defender Ucha Nanuashvili, in compliance with paragraph 1 of article 21¹ of the Organic Law on the Public Defender of Georgia and paragraph 1 of article 26 of the Law on Broadcasting, presented Irina Putkaradze as a candidate for a member of the Public Broadcaster’s Board of Trustees to Georgia's Parliament Speaker Davit Usupashvili.

During the interview, Irina Putkaradze presented an interesting, realistic and results-oriented action plan of the Commission and got high evaluation from the Commission.

Irina Putkaradze had been engaged in active public and human rights protection activities over the years.
