Congratulations, today the European Commission gave us a historic chance to get closer to the European family.

Europe for us is a place where human life, dignity and honor are priceless, a place where governance is truly democratic, and the law is supreme and universal.

I want to quote the words of Ilia Chavchavadze- "Every man, who has nothing covered over his eyes, sees that the life that was yesterday is no longer today, that it changes, moves forward and brings renewal of everything."

I congratulate you on the first step of entering the renewal era and I hope that in December the European Council will take into account the decision of the European Commission and Georgia will receive the status. And then we should prepare for new challenges and changes.
