First Deputy Public Defender of Georgia Participates in ENNHRI High-Level Consultations

On October 24, 2022, Tamar Gvaramadze, First Deputy Public Defender of Georgia, participated in the high-level consultations of the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, where the topic of discussion was the challenges relating to the rule of law in the region.

Tamar Gvaramadze presented the structure of the annual report on the rule of law prepared on behalf of ENNHRI, reviewed the topics covered in it and talked about the work process and timetable of the preparation of the report. She also presented the recommendations prepared by the Public Defender’s Office on the future priorities of the ENNHRI report on the rule of law.

Representatives of national human rights institutions, civil society and OSCE/ODIHR, European Commission, Council of Europe, OHCHR Regional Office for Europe, Bulgarian Helsinki Committee and other international organizations participated in the meeting.
