On July 24, 2025, the Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani, met with the Israeli Ombudsman, Matanyahu Englman.

The Public Defender introduced the mandate and activities of the Office to the guest, spoke about the main challenges, including the protection of the rights of vulnerable groups, which, in the opinion of the Public Defender, should be addressed as a priority.

The parties focused on the long-standing relationship between the two countries and agreed on close cooperation between the institutions.
