On December 1, 2023, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, met with Anahit Manasian, Ombudsman of the Republic of Armenia.

The parties discussed the situation of human rights in the Republic of Georgia and Armenia, main challenges, specifics of work and issues of future cooperation between the human rights institutions of the two countries.

The Ombudsman of Armenia showed interest in the protection of the rights of Armenian citizens of Georgia, their integration and involvement in decision-making process at the self-government level.

Anahit Manasian also met with the representatives of the Councils of Ethnic and Religious Minorities of the Tolerance Center of the Public Defender and received information about the work of the Tolerance Center.
