On October 3, 2025, Public Defender Levan Ioseliani visited a semi-open and closed penitentiary establishment No. 12 in Rustavi, inspected infrastructure and met with representatives of the administration.

The Public Defender also spoke with Levan Khabeishvili, Giorgi Vashadze, Juansher Burchuladze, Giorgi Khaindrava, Vasil Mkheidze and Vladimer Ghudushauri, who are housed in penitentiary establishment No. 12, and checked their living conditions.

The Public Defender systematically monitors penitentiary establishments and supervises challenges related to the prisoners’ rights.
