Presentation of Monitoring Report on Implementation of 2021-2022 Action Plan of State Strategy for Civic Equality and Integration

On October 4, 2023, the Council of Ethnic Minorities of the Tolerance Center of the Public Defender of Georgia presented a monitoring report on the implementation of the 2021-2022 Action Plan of the 2021-2030 State Strategy for Civic Equality and Integration.

At the opening of the event, Public Defender Levan Ioseliani spoke about the importance of monitoring the implementation of the Action Plan of the State Strategy for Civic Equality and Integration and emphasized the close cooperation between the Office and the Tolerance Center.

Lia Gigauri, First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, and Tamar Sirbiladze, Head of the Democracy, Rights and Governance Office, also delivered welcome speeches.

The meeting was attended by members of the working group of the governmental commission for civic equality and integration, representatives of international and non-governmental organizations working on issues of ethnic minorities, and representatives of member organizations of the Council of Ethnic Minorities of the Public Defender of Georgia.

The presentation was moderated by the coordinator of the Council of Ethnic Minorities, Koba Chopliani.

The event was supported by the USAID Unity Through Diversity program, which is being implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia.
