On October 18, 2023, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, met with Anne Montavon, Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Georgia, as well as the organization's legal advisor, Onisime Tskhomelidze.

The rights situation of the conflict-affected population of Georgia, procedures for searching for the missing and transferring the bodies of the deceased, as well as protection of the rights of the family members of the deceased were discussed at the introductory meeting. Other topics discussed included the strengthening of humanitarian law at the national level and maintenance of the family ties of the affected population.

The parties also agreed to deepen cooperation.
