School Students' Visit to Public Defender’s Office

On October 27, 2022, the Public Defender’s Office hosted fifteen students of Tbilisi public schools. Within the framework of the meeting, Deputy Public Defender Giorgi Burjanadze informed the students of the basic principles of human rights and freedoms, the mandate of the Public Defender and the structure of the Public Defender’s Office.

The forms of Public Defender’s activity and the challenges in different fields were discussed. The dangers of violation of children’s rights and the possibility of applying to the Office for help were also emphasized. In addition, the conversation touched upon the activities carried out in the field of human rights education.

At the end of the meeting, Giorgi Burjanadze answered the students' questions about the human rights most important to them.
