On June 27, 2025, Public Defender Levan Ioseliani and Sokhumi State University Rector Zurab Khonelidze signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

Within the framework of the Memorandum, the Public Defender's Office will support law students to develop practical skills.

The cooperation provided for by the Memorandum also includes the organization of joint seminars, meetings and conferences, research on issues of common interest and implementation of educational projects, involvement of professors, trainers and experts in educational projects organized by the parties, participation in the preparation and publication of joint textbooks and other publications.

The Public Defender and the Sokhumi State University Rector expressed hope that the cooperation will be mutually beneficial and that in the future, Sokhumi University students will have the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge in the field of human rights, while qualified resources will help the Public Defender's Office to better conduct its activities.
