On April 30, 2025, the Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani, met with the residents of the village of Koki, located near the occupation line in Zugdidi municipality, and learned about their situation.

According to the Public Defender, it is necessary to develop the infrastructure of villages located near the occupation line, which will contribute to the economic strengthening of these territories and the availability of services, and will motivate the population to stay at their houses.
